Westmont, BG coaches named to girls' all-state basketball teams; 10 local players selected

Ten local girls and two head coaches were selected to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls Basketball teams on Friday. Bishop Guilfoyle head coach Kristi Kaack won coach of the year in Class 1A. Kaack led the Marauders to their second PIAA state championship in four years. Alexandria man convicted of raping, trafficking teen girl

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Blair County say an Alexandria man faces decades behind bars after he was convicted of raping and trafficking a teenage girl on Easter weekend in 2021. Police charged Donald Hetrick in late 2022 in connection to a sex trafficking investigation at a Blair County hotel. Authorities say officers discovered messages between Hetrick and his co-defendant, Nikkia Beck, in which the pair reportedly planned to pay the teenage victim to come to the hotel to engage in sexual acts. First legal distillery in Cambria County set to open
