TOKYO (AP) — “Oppenheimer” finally premiered Friday in the nation where two cities were obliterated 79 years ago by the nuclear weapons invented by the American scientist who was thesubject of the Oscar-winning film. Japanese filmgoers' reactions understandably were mixed and highly emotional. Toshiyuki Mimaki, who survived the bombing of Hiroshima when he was 3, said he has been fascinated by the story of J. Philadelphia medical museum receives 'donation' of human fetuses; police investigating

PHILADELPHIA (CNN) — In Philadelphia, a medical history museum is wondering who sent them a package that appeared to have two preserved fetuses inside. The museum received the package on Tuesday and now police are investigating. "I’ve been here for almost twenty years, and I don't recall a situation like this,” said the museum’s curator, Anna Dhody. Dhody says she has seen a lot in her time as the curator of the Mutter Museum, an institution that showcases medical history, and has more than 20-thousand unusual specimens. Read More...

Trial delayed again for Johnstown man Brian Giles, who is accused of killing his wife

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities with the Cambria County District Attorney's office say the trial for Johnstown man Brian Giles, who is accused of killing his wife, has once again been delayed. Following a previous delay in the case, Giles was initially scheduled to go to trial next month. Now, authorities say the case is delayed as Giles' defense awaits the results of a pending psychological evaluation. In May of 2022, police charged Giles with homicide following a three-and-a-half year investigation into the disappearance and death of his wife Nancy. Read More...
