Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Volunteers in Clearfield County are working to give a dog, who was recently found neglected and abused, new hope.
Officials say a volunteer with the organization “Animals Matter” found "Duke" laying on the road in the Grampian/Mahaffey area on Black Friday.
Volunteers say the dog was found with a hole in his head and an injured ear and jaw.

A Butler County man is facing animal cruelty charges after police discovered two dead German Shepherds, which led to 50 animals being removed from his home Saturday, state police said.
According to a criminal complaint, a K-9 Deputy stopped at the General Butler Vagabonds to let their K-9 out to urinate.
State police said that the K-9 immediately led the deputy outside of the parking lot area where two black garbage bags were discovered. Read More...
UPDATE:EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees says a man found dead at an Ebensburg hotel Wednesday night shot himself after police approached him to question him about an active investigation.
Lees says the incident happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday when police approached the Quality Inn along Route 22 to question 39-year-old Kenneth Kim.
