Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — PennDOT and the Maryland Department of Transportation hosted another open house Thursday to discuss the Route 219 project.
The meeting was held at the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department and allowed the public to not only look at the proposed plans but also provide feedback on the project.
The project is proposing a new 8 mile long four lane highway from the end of the Meyersdale bypass to the newly constructed portion of Route 219 in Maryland. Read More...

The motorcycle ride commemorates the passengers and crew members from the United 93 flight for their acts of courage and first responders who were killed.
Over of the course of two days, riders traveled across six states.
The ride started in Shanksville, went past the Flight 93 memorial to the Pentagon in Virginia and finished at the Freedom Tower in New York. Read More...

Cosmo DiNardo, who was 20 at the time, admitted luring four young men ages 19 to 22 to the family’s farm in July 2017, saying he would sell them marijuana. He then killed them and buried them on the farm. Read More...
