Penn State vs Michigan State game moved to Ford Field; will be played on Black Friday

University Park, PA (WJAC) — The Penn State University Athletics Department announced Wednesday that the Nittany Lions game against Michigan State this upcoming season will be played at Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 24th, which is Black Friday. The game will be televised on NBC. This is the third primetime game that has been announced on Penn State's 2023 football schedule. Read More...

McCarvel hits for cycle in Spikes 10-4 win over Brooklyn

UNIVERSITY PARK -- Ryan McCarvel became the second player in State College Spikes history to hit for the cycle as they go on to defeat the Brooklyn Cyclones 10-4 and with that, take the three-game series. The Cyclones took the lead in the top of the fourth inning, scoring three runs, but the Spikes instantly responded. In the bottom of the fourth, Dylan Tice got things started with a shallow ball to center that bounced behind the outfielder, scoring one. Read More...

Milestones make for fantastic Friday

There were plenty of milestones to go around Friday night. In a win over Moshannon Valley, Juniata Valley senior Quinn Zinobile, a Clarion football signee, eclipsed the 1,000 point plateau on a thunderous dunk in the second quarter. In a loss to Penns Valley, Philipsburg-Osceola senior Halle Herrington tallied 29 points, making her Centre County's all time leading scorer. In boy's basketball action elsewhere, Conemaugh Township and Bishop Guilfoyle defeated Windber and Forest Hills respectively. Read More...
