Two killed in Friday's head-on crash in Altoona

UPDATE:BLAIR CO, Pa (WJAC) — According to a release from the Logan Township police department, both drivers involved in Friday afternoon's crash in Altoona have died from their injuries. Police say the driver of a 2015 Subaru, identified as 79-year-old Jerry Sneath, crossed the center turn lane, along the 1600 block of East Pleasant Valley Blvd., and struck the second vehicle head-on. Coroner rules death of missing Penn State student who fell down trash chute as accidental

State College, PA (WJAC) — The Centre County coroner's office has officially made a ruling in the death of 19-year-old Justine Gross, the Penn State student who was reported missing in November and was later found dead after falling down an 11-story trash chute. Investigators say Gross suffered "multiple, acute blunt force trauma" as a result of the fall and her death has officially been deemed an accident. Authorities say the toxicology report showed that Gross had both marijuana and alcohol in her system at the time of her death. Read More...
