ELMORA -- An explosion and fire early Monday morning destroyed the Bakerton Rod and Gun Clubhouse in Cambria County.
Fire crews arrived just after 7 a.m. where authorities say people were inside preparing breakfast for veterans for the Memorial Day parade.
The building is a total loss.
One woman and a firefighter were injured after the Carrolltown fire chief says some kind of natural gas explosion caused the fire.

Originally, Conemaugh Valley and Conemaugh Township were slated to travel to North Star and Windber respectively. Due to tracing and protocols at both Valley and Township, Windber and North Star have agreed to move up their game that was originally slated for week 8. Westmoreland County, PA — State police say they have launched a death investigation after a woman's body was found in a Westmoreland County pond.
Troopers say authorities were dispatched late Monday morning to an area along Broadview Road, in New Stanton Borough, for reports of "an object" floating in the pond.
Upon further investigation, authorities say the "object" was determined to be a deceased female.
Police described the woman as being approximately 5’04” to 5’05” tall with several tattoos, including one of a cat on her left thigh. Read More...
