BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Federal authorities say a Hollidaysburg couple has reportedly pleaded guilty in an alleged healthcare fraud scheme.
Officials say John and Paula Johnson, both age 62, pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Authorities say John Johnson also pleaded guilty to an additional charge of conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud.
Authorities say John Johnson reportedly conspired with multiple individuals, including a man by the name of Rodney Yentzer, to defraud health insurance companies by illegally billing them for urine drug tests. Read More...
Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Installation of the mural honoring Johnstown native Steve Ditko began this week.
Ditko helped create Marvel comic characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange.
The 49-foot wide and 28-foot-high mural is being placed on the side of the Stone Bridge Brewing Company along Washington Street downtown.
Those involved say the project has been more than two years in the making and will be the only Marvel-approved piece of public art in the entire world. Read More...
(TND) — Police have started removing barricades at demonstrators’ encampment on the campus of UCLA after an hourslong standoff.
Law enforcement began clearing the encampment after hours threatening to arrest people who did not disperse over loud speakers. There were hundreds of people gathered on UCLA's campus in the encampment and the surrounding area in support of it.
The sound of flash bangs could be heard as police moved in. Officers began ripping down the makeshift barricades protesters built with plywood, pallets, dumpsters and other materials used in an effort to keep police out. Read More...
